New filler material co-developed: 1toFill

Based on the patent on the sealant (WO 2012/072248 A1), co-developed by VLCI, there is now a filler product co-developed, named 1toFill. This is an innovative water vapour permeable filler, 1k and water based, suitable for porous substrates such as wood and concrete. The launch of the filler product has started in January 2014 and is very well accepted by painters and renovators. ECJ article published Nov 2013

In the European Coating Journal of November 2013 (www.european-coatings.com)., an article about the work performed at VLCI for Mondo has been published! The article is called Maximising dispersion stability (see pdf) and explains more how effectively a dispersant can be selected for a particle, in this case the Finntalc M15. This approach works much faster and effectively by combining Hansen Solubility Parameter and High Throughput screening. This can now be applied for a variety of particles like pigments and fillers. New Address

Please note that the address of VLCI has changed to Science Park 408 (instead of 406) from April 1st 2013. Due to the further expansion of VLCI, it was needed to move to a bigger facility, where we now have 2 bigger labs (testing and formulation lab) and an office/meeting room. Science Park 408 is across the street of our previous facility. We are looking forward to welcome you in our new facility!
