Joint webinar with Chemspeed: Tackling (re-)formulating issues via science-based formulation combined with webapps and high throughput (HT) screening

This webinar, held on 24th February 2026, focuses on addressing the growing challenges of (re-)formulation in FMCG industries, driven by increasing regulatory restrictions, cost reduction demands, and the transition to bio-based ingredients. These pressures require innovative approaches to optimize R&D workflows while managing limited resources.

The session will introduce  predictive formulation sciences, specifically  Hansen Similarity Parameters (HSP)  and Hydrophilic Lipophilic Difference (HLD), and demonstrate how these models can significantly reduce experimental work, accelerate development, and improve sustainability. Combined with  web-based applications PrediApps (www.prediapps.com)  and High-Throughput (HT) screening, these tools enable efficient ingredient matching, replacement, and optimization for products such as personal care, home care, coatings, and inks.

Participants will learn how VLCI’s approach—supported by the world’s largest shared HSP and HLD database—integrates predictive models with HT screening to create a science-based, data-driven formulation process. This workflow can reduce experimental work by more than 10x, save up to 100x in time, and cut costs by over 10%, making it a powerful solution for modern formulation challenges.
